Virus gây hội chứng Taura (Taura syndrome virus-TSV) được phát hiện lần đầu tiên vào năm 1992 ở Ecuador và nhanh chóng lây truyền sang các nước châu Mỹ, châu Á gây thiệt hại lớn cho ngành nuôi tôm trong đó có Việt Nam.
– Các con đường lây nhiễm của virus gây hội chứng Taura:
+ Lây nhiễm theo chiều ngang qua việc tôm ăn thịt đồng loại nhiễm bệnh hoặc thông qua nguồn nước
+ Lây nhiễm theo chiều dọc qua việc bố mẹ nhiễm bệnh truyền sang con
Hội chứng Taura thường xuất hiện ở giai đoạn ương của tôm thẻ chân trắng từ 14 đến 45 ngày tuổi, bệnh cũng có thể gặp trên tôm thương phẩm, tỉ lệ chết có thể lên đến >90%.
– Dấu hiệu bệnh lý của hội chứng Taura
Tôm bị hội chứng Taura có biểu hiện cơ bản gần giống với các bệnh vi khuẩn khác như yếu hoặc bỏ ăn, bơi lội lờ đờ, tấp mé, gan tụy nhạt màu,…
– Các giai đoạn tiến triển của bệnh:
+ Giai đoạn cấp tính: Tôm chuyển màu đỏ nhợt nhạt đặc biệt là các chân bơi, đuôi nên người ta còn gọi là bệnh “đỏ đuôi”. Vỏ mềm, ruột không có thức ăn, hoại tử cục bộ, giai đoạn này có thể hao hụt 40-90%.
+ Giai đoạn chuyển tiếp: Xuất hiện nhiều tổn thương màu nâu, màu đen trên vỏ kitin. Tôm chuyển sang giai đoạn này có thể bắt mồi bình thường.
+ Giai đoạn mãn tính: Tôm sống qua giai đoạn này, các vết đen melanin sẽ biến mất sau vài lần lột xác. Tuy nhiên, những vết đen này cũng có thể gây chết tôm do lột xác bị dính vỏ.
– Phương pháp phòng và trị bệnh
Đây là bệnh do virus gây ra nên chưa có thuốc chữa trị hữu hiệu. Vì vậy, việc phòng bệnh được xem là bước quan trọng nhất để ngăn chặn bệnh này.
+ Chọn tôm giống có nguồn gốc rõ ràng, được xét nghiệm sạch bệnh trước khi thả nuôi
+ Chuẩn bị ao nuôi, lọc nước kỹ và xử lý nước để tránh các loài giáp xác mang mầm bệnh
+ Thường xuyên bổ sung vitamin C và các hợp chất tăng cường sức đề kháng
+ Sử dụng men vi sinh định kỳ để xử lý nước hạn chế ô nhiễm và giảm vi khuẩn gây bệnh
